The last thing we want our patients to do is to avoid orthodontic treatment because they do not want to deal with the hassle of metal braces. With advances in dental technology, patients can fix their orthodontic issues with discreet, comfortable treatment options that use clear aligners or braces.
Dr. Conover offers Invisalign® for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns in the center city Philadelphia area. Invisalign is one of the more popular cosmetic dentistry services.
With Invisalign®, you can have the straighter smile you’ve always wanted without uncomfortable and unattractive metal braces. The Invisalign system uses a series of custom-fit, clear plastic aligners to help you easily and comfortably straighten your teeth.
They are made using CAD/CAM technology and 3-D images were taken at our office. They are made of highly durable material that is transparent and designed to fit snugly against the teeth.
Invisalign aligners are so thin and clear most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them. Because they are removable, you’ll enjoy the freedom of being able to eat and drink comfortably. You will also be able to floss and brush your teeth according to your normal routine to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
Get Faster Invisalign Results With Acceledent
Imagine shortening your Invisalign treatment time by 38-50% while getting the same result! Dr. Doray is pleased to offer an exciting new technology called AcceleDent. The AcceleDent device is easy to use and only requires 20 minutes a day of wear to improve the progress and results of Invisalign treatment and dramatically shorten the treatment time.
How Does Acceledent Work?
AcceleDent is based on a patented SoftPulse Technology using safe and gentle pulsations or small vibrations that transmit through the roots of the teeth to the surrounding bone. The pulse technology stimulates a cellular response and increases the rate of tooth movement. You will still wear your aligners for 22 hours each day but for fewer days per aligner.
For example, if you have 25 aligners (50 to 62 weeks of treatment time), AcceleDent could reduce your treatment time to 25 to 36 weeks. This is a significant acceleration of the orthodontic tooth movement process resulting in an optimal result with less time in the aligners.
Studies show improved seating of aligners and improved accuracy as a result. Patients in clinical studies also report less discomfort with the seating of new aligners and less sensitivity during their orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign FAQs
Does Invisalign hurt as much as traditional braces?
No, wearing clear aligners like Invisalign does not cause as much discomfort as having traditional braces. Clear aligners are more flexible and easily removable. Patients experience minimal discomfort when worn properly and all instructions are followed.
Will clear aligners stain my teeth?
No. Clear aligners are free of color dye, bleach, and other compounds that may stain teeth. The best way to prevent teeth from staining while wearing Invisalign is to remove your clear aligners before eating food and clean your teeth before putting on your clear aligners.
Is Invisalign covered by dental insurance?
Invisalign can be covered, in part or completely, with dental insurance plans under necessary orthodontic care. Although, not every dental insurance provider is the same. Contact your specific insurance plan provider for exact details on Invisalign coverage.
When will I start seeing results from Invisalign?
Everyone’s crooked teeth issue is different. Some only need a minor adjustment, while others need more comprehensive care. Patients typically start seeing results after just a few months of Invisalign treatment. Again, this depends on the severity of your misalignment. Results may vary.
