With this new addition to the team, we hope to provide even more quality care to our patients with advanced techniques and state-of-the-art equipment.
Local Talent with World-Class Care
Born and raised right here on the Main Line, Dr. Vafa’s journey in dentistry began at the University of Pennsylvania. There he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, graduating with honors and receiving the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship. His early training combined the rigor of engineering with a love for patient-centered care, a foundation that continues to shape his meticulous approach to prosthodontics.
Following dental school, Dr. Vafa completed a General Practice Residency at Jefferson Abington Health. While there, he served as Chief Resident and then worked as a general dentist in Philadelphia. Inspired by complex restorative and surgical cases, he went on to complete specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Connecticut. He once again served as Chief Resident, while also earning a Master of Dental Science and a Certificate in Dental Implant Surgery.

Dr. Vafa’s academic contributions have been featured in top scientific journals. These include the Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Pathology, and Scientific Reports. He has presented his research at national meetings such as the American College of Prosthodontists, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. Vafa is a proud member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is committed to staying closely connected to the latest advancements in the field.
More Than a Dentist
Outside of the office, Dr. Vafa is as dynamic as he is in the operatory. He enjoys time with his wife Rachel, currently a Rheumatology Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as family and friends. He’s an avid salsa dancer, a serious board game competitor, and a skilled guitarist.
