How does Invisalign compare to traditional metal braces?
Metal braces use brackets and wires to shift the teeth into a more even position. Braces also require appointments for orthodontists to adjust the wires, which can irritate and poke the gum tissue. On the other hand, Invisalign uses clear aligners to straighten teeth gradually. Each set of aligners is slightly different and gently realigns the smile. The aligners do not irritate the gums and only require slight adjustment with each new pair.
Do I need dental crowns, inlays, or onlays?
Inlays and onlays are known as partial crowns because they do not fully cover teeth. While inlays cover the biting surface between the sides of the tooth, onlays cover the entire chewing surface, including the tooth cusps. Like crowns, inlays and onlays are made of biocompatible ceramic. Because of this, they are color-matched to natural teeth. Dental crowns fully cover teeth and can
How long do dental veneers last?
With proper care, dental veneers can last for many years without needing replacement. To care for your veneers, continue to brush and floss twice a day. Gently brush your veneers with a soft-bristle toothbrush. Use non-abrasive toothpaste to prevent damage to your dental veneers. You may also schedule routine dental visits so we can monitor the health of your smile and the appearance of your dental veneers.
What are my options for teeth whitening treatment?
We offer both in-office and take-home whitening treatments. Our deep bleaching treatment combines in-office and take-home care. KöR teeth whitening is a highly effective treatment that can remove deep stains caused by coffee, tea, wine, and tobacco use. It uses a deep bleaching gel that dissolves the molecules that stain the enamel.
For patients who want to whiten their teeth at home, we provide custom-made whitening trays. We do need to create these trays with impressions in our office. However, once the impressions are complete, we provide patients with their whitening kit. At home, patients apply the whitening gel to the trays and wear them for a specified period to brighten their smiles.

Invisalign FAQs
Our patients have multiple common questions about their personalized Invisalign treatment, including:
Am I a candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign is a great option for teens and adults who have permanent teeth. In addition, patients with severe orthodontic problems may not benefit from Invisalign, as they may require traditional methods or even oral surgery to treat their dental issues.
Patients who clench and grind their teeth at night will require treatment for bruxism before we recommend orthodontics such as Invisalign. Bruxism can damage Invisalign aligners if patients have severe symptoms. We typically recommend clear Invisalign aligners for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns.
How long is Invisalign treatment?
Invisalign aligners need to be worn for at least 22 hours a day. Although they can be removed to brush, floss, and eat, they are most effective when worn as much as possible. When the aligners are cared for properly and worn regularly, patients can complete treatment on time or even early. Invisalign’s average treatment time is 12 to 18 months, which varies from patient to patient.
What can I eat and drink while wearing Invisalign?
Patients must remove their Invisalign trays before eating or drinking. We recommend drinking only water while wearing the Invisalign aligners. Smoking, alcohol, and chewing gum must also be avoided. Food, gum, or even tobacco product residue can stain the aligners or get stuck in the tray. Make sure you brush and floss your teeth after eating to keep them and your aligners free of infection or stains.
